Types of Credit Enquiry
My Agent provides the facility to perform both consumer and commercial credit enquiries. There are various applications for the information included in a credit enquiry. Below are descriptions of the different types of credit check available on My Agent and what information is returned in each type of report. For a more detailed look please view the sample reports provided. All cedit reference checks and ITC reports are provided in pdf format, (adobe acrobat reader) and can be saved to disk or printed directly as desired.

Consumer credit enquiries
**Please note that in order to perform a consumer credit enquiry it is a legal requirement to have the consumer’s permission in writing** The types of consumer credit checks that can be performed are as follows:

To check that the supplied ID number is valid and verified against the supplied surname and name as per the Department of Home Affairs.

  • Experian Consumer Enquiry

  • Combination Consumer Enquiry

Standard consumer credit enquiry from both TransUnion and Experian displayed side by side.

Commercial credit enquiries - Sample Report

The types of commercial credit checks that can be performed areas follows:

Principal Clearance (coming soon)
A principal clearance is an enquiry on an individual in their business capacity such as an enquiry on the director of a company. The enquiry shows an individual’s personal details, previous 3 employees, address information, work and home telephone numbers, judgements, defaults, notarial bonds, notices, principal trace and enquiry history. NOTE: A principal clear may only be done on an individual in their business capacity according to the National Credit Act.

Principal Clearance with ID Verification (coming soon)
Clearance on an individual in their business capacity, such as an enquiry on the director of a company with an ID Verification in the same report.

Principal Link (coming soon)
Displays all businesses linked to an individual.

Principal Trace (coming soon)
Tracing product supply the latest telephone numbers, addresses and consumer information on an individual. Mini company report on file Mini business credit report that is on file as of the current date. In the report the business identification is displayed (business name, start date, industry, duns number, business function, phone number, fax number, VAT number, physical and postal address), name history, registration details as per the registrar of companies, member break down, civil court records, default data, notarial bond information, principals summary (principals are any registered director(s) or member(s) linked to the company.
